Flavor Homemade Double Burger

Time: 40 min | Difficulty: Easy

The Flavour Homemade Double Burger is a true treat for all burger lovers. It consists of two juicy beef patties cooked on a hot grill or in a pan until cooked to perfection. The patties are typically seasoned with spices and herbs for a rich, savory flavor. Between the two patties, you'll often find a layer of melted cheese, which serves to bind the meat pieces together and provide additional creaminess and flavor.

One of our absolute favorites. It's a really juicy, delicious burger with double the meat!

The combination of two meat patties and the Big Mac-like sauce is truly key here. Next time, though, I'd add shredded lettuce —it would give the whole thing a bit more freshness. – Prime Recipes

Ingredients

For 4 servings

For the Double Burger

  • 4 burger buns

  • 1 pound ground beef (per patty ~125 g)

  • Cheddar / processed cheese

  • Salt & black pepper

  • Oil for frying

Burger Sauce

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 1 dill pickle, diced

  • 240 g mayonnaise

  • 125 g ketchup

  • 125 g mustard

  • Salt & black pepper

  • Olive / vegetable oil

Preparation in 5 steps

  1. To make the burger sauce, first dice an onion and add it to the pan. Fry the onion pieces in a little oil until golden brown.

  2. Meanwhile, dice a dill pickle into small cubes. Place the dill pickle in a bowl along with the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and the fried onions and mix everything together. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.

  3. Form the ground beef into patties and fry them in a pan for 3 minutes on each side. Season one side of the burger patty with salt and pepper and place a slice of cheese on each side.

  4. Brush the inside of the burger bun with soft butter and heat until crispy and golden brown.

  5. Now assemble the burger. Brush the bottom with burger sauce and place the finished burger patty on top. Then apply more burger sauce and place another patty with another layer of burger sauce on top. Finally, place the top part of the burger bun on top.

TIP:

To help the cheese melt, place a burger dome over the burger patty for a few minutes.
