Big Mac Pizza
1 ready-made pizza dough
500g ground beef
Salt, pepper, paprika
12 slices of cheese
100g ketchup
150g mayonnaise
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp water from the pickle jar
small onion
1/2 iceberg lettuce
Salt, sugar, and garlic powder
pickles
6-step Preparation
1. Preheat oven & prepare dough
Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat) (or according to the dough package instructions). Roll out the ready-made pizza dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and form a small crust if desired.
2. Brown the ground beef
Fry 500g ground beef in a little oil until crumbly. Season generously with salt, pepper, and paprika to taste!
3. Mix the Big Mac sauce
In a bowl, combine:
100g ketchup
150g mayonnaise
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp pickle juice
½ finely diced onion
A pinch of salt, sugar, and a little garlic powder. Mix well until a creamy sauce forms.
4. Top the dough
Generously spread the Big Mac sauce on the rolled-out pizza dough (save some for later).
Spread the browned ground beef evenly on top.
Thinly slice the pickles and place them over the ground beef.
Then add the 12 slices of cheese – they'll melt over the pickles and meat, binding everything together wonderfully.
5. Bake
Bake the pizza at 200°C for about 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden brown.
6. Topping
After baking:
Spread the remaining sauce in strips over the pizza.
Optionally, top with fresh, chopped iceberg lettuce or red onions for extra freshness and crunch!
Tip: The pickles under the cheese give the whole thing a beautifully embedded, juicy, and spicy flavor – just like the original Big Mac!
💡 Save calories –
Total savings potential: 👉 Up to 300–450 kcal per serving if you:
Use only 6–8 slices of cheese instead of 12 or switch to light cheese
Reduce the mayonnaise to 75 g or replace half with low-fat yogurt
Use lean ground beef (e.g., tartar) instead of regular ground beef (saves 100–150 kcal per serving)
Roll out the pizza dough thinly or replace it with a higher protein or whole grain dough
Use a light or reduced-sugar ketchup
👉 This preserves the Big Mac flavor, but significantly reduces the calorie count – ideal for a lighter version!
