For the ground beef:

• 200 g ground beef

• 1/2 bell pepper

• Black pepper

• Salt

• 1 tbsp tomato paste

• A little hot water

• Sriracha (optional)

For the wrap:

• Corn wrap

• approx. 50g Chio chips / Doritos

• Grated mozzarella cheese

• 1 tbsp butter / margarine

• Parsley

Sauce:

• 2 tbsp mayonnaise

• 1/2 cup water

• 1 garlic clove, minced (garlic powder, optional)

• Italian herbs

• Parsley

Preparation in 11 steps

  1. Preparing the ground beef:

Fry the ground beef: Heat a pan without oil (or with some, depending on the meat) and add the ground beef. Fry until crumbly and lightly browned.

  2. Add the bell pepper: Cut the bell pepper into small cubes and add them to the meat. Fry briefly.

  3. Season: Season with salt, black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of tomato paste. Stir well.

  4. Deglaze: Add a little hot water to ensure the tomato paste is evenly distributed and the mixture becomes slightly creamy.

  5. Optional: Sriracha: If you like it spicy, add a dash of Sriracha for an extra kick.

    Prepare the sauce:

  6. Mix everything together: In a small bowl, combine:

    • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

    • ½ cup water

    • 1 minced garlic clove

    • Italian herbs

    • Finely chopped parsley

  7. Mix well: Mix everything thoroughly until the sauce reaches a creamy consistency. Add a little more mayo or water for desired thickness if needed.

    Prepare the wrap:

  8. Fill the wrap: Lay a wrap flat. Spread some of the ground beef mixture in the center.

  9. Top it: Sprinkle grated cheese on top and crumble a few Doritos on top for a crunch!

  10. Close the wrap: Roll or fold the wrap (burrito-style or like a crunch wrap).

  11. Fry it: Lightly brush the outside with butter. Then fry it in a pan over medium heat on both sides until golden brown, until the cheese is melted and the outside is crispy. (approx. 30 seconds)

Cut the wrap in half, drizzle with sauce, or serve it on the side for dipping – and simply enjoy!

💡 Save calories –

Total savings potential: 👉 Up to 200–300 kcal per serving if you:

  • Reduce the amount of chips to 25g or replace them with cornstarch/crispy peas

  • Halve the mozzarella or use light cheese

  • Replace mayonnaise with low-fat yogurt or skyr

  • Omit the butter for frying and lightly spray the pan instead

  • If necessary, replace the wrap with a thinner alternative (e.g., a protein wrap or lettuce leaf)

👉 This saves fat and unnecessary extra calories – and the wrap still remains flavorful, creamy, and crispy!
